Cabinet Chairman Zhaparov meets with Mikhail Mishustin

Bishkek, Nov. 19, 2021 . / Kabar / . Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov met with Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin. The press service of the Cabinet reported that the meeting took place on the margins of the regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. During the meeting the chairmen of the Kyrgyz and Russian Governments discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in various areas of mutual interest. They also debated the digitalization of the tax and customs authorities, including the technical and software development of the tax administration system. "The experience of the Russian Federation in fiscalization of tax and customs procedures is very important for us. We hope to increase budget revenues in the very near future through full digitalization of the tax and customs administration system," Zhaparov said. He also thanked Mikhail Mishustin for assistance in the reconstruction of Batken Oblast affected by the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border and on the supply of vaccine against coronavirus infection. Russia expressed its willingness to assist in the organization of polling stations for Kyrgyz citizens in Russia in the upcoming parliamentary elections, as well as informed the Kyrgyz side on the resumption of air links with the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Issyk-Kul Oblast. The heads of Governments also discussed joint activities within the framework of the intergovernmental commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and humanitarian cooperation and activation of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
