Kyrgyzstan participates in meeting of secretaries of CIS Security Councils in Moscow

Bishkek, Nov. 18, 2021 . / Kabar / . The 9th meeting of secretaries of the Security Councils of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states took place in Moscow. Secretary of Kyrgyzstan’s Security Council Marat Imankulov represented the country at this meeting, the press service of the Kyrgyz president said. During the meeting, a number of issues in the field of international security were discussed, including the threats emanating from the territory of Afghanistan and related to the development of biotechnology, including synthetic biology. The meeting participants also considered issues of cooperation of CIS member states in the sphere of migration. In accordance with the agenda, secretaries of the CIS Security Councils (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan) presented their views on topical issues of national and regional security. On the margins of the meeting, Marat Imankulov and his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patrushev signed a Plan of Cooperation between the Secretariat of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan and the Administration of the Russian Security Council for the period 2022-2023.
