Pension Fund to be established in Kyrgyzstan instead of Social Fund

Bishkek, Oct. 13, 2021 . / Kabar / . The Social Fund should not be in the structure of the government, Acting Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Kyrgyz President’s Office Akylbek Zhaparov said during a parliament session. "We are now working on this. There are plans to carry out reforms within the Social Fund as well. We are now preparing a pension reform. In the future, this agency will not be the Social Fund, but the Pension Fund, as in the rest of the world. Benefits should be paid by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security," the official added.
