Entrepreneurs in Kyrgyzstan can get interest-free credit assistance: ministry

Bishkek, Oct. 4, 2021 . / Kabar / . A project of emergency support of the private and financial sector has been launched, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Tatikov told.
The project is implemented with the support of the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
"The objectives of the project are to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in overcoming the crisis caused by the pandemic, to help businesses in the conditions of the economic slowdown and to save jobs. The project will finance the provision of interest-free aid on a repayable basis in the amount of $72 million, which approximately makes KGS 6 billion 84 million," the deputy minister said.
Tatikov added that the funds will be allocated on an interest-free basis, they will have to be returned.
In early September it was reported that:
- micro-entrepreneurs working on patents will be allocated a total of $30 million (KGS 100 thousand per recipient);
- small and medium enterprises, legal entities and individuals paying taxes will be funded to the amount of $42 million dollars (up to KGS 825 thousand per recipient).
