Kyrgyz, Kazakh parliament speakers meet in Kazakhstan’s Turkestan

Bishkek, Sept. 28, 2021 . / Kabar / . A parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Talant Mamytov arrived in Turkestan, Kazakhstan, to participate in the 10th anniversary plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries (TurkPA). The press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported that the delegation included MPs Omurbek Bakirov, Zhyrgalbek Turuskulov, Beishenaly Nurdinov, Saidulla Nyshanov, Ryskeldy Mombekov, Salaidin Aidarov, and Shailobek Atazov. The first day of the event began with a visit to the Ahmad Yassawi Museum and Memorial Complex in Turkestan. The delegation also visited the Ethno-Auyl complex, as well as the Uluu Dala Eli center. Further, the Kyrgyz MPs paid a visit to the Farab library, where Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov presented the library with a complete collection of works by Chyngyz Aymatov in eight volumes. On the same day, the Kyrgyz speaker met with Chairman of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament Nurlan Nigmatulin. Mamytov emphasized the cultural and spiritual commonality of the two peoples and expressed interest in further strengthening of friendly relations. In his turn, Speaker of the Kazakh Parliament Nurlan Nigmatulin noted that he first met his Kyrgyz counterpart during the 5th World Speaker Conference in Vienna (Austria) and was glad to see him again. "I wish you success in the upcoming parliamentary elections, and I hope for close cooperation and exchange of experience," the Kazakh speaker said. The 10th plenary meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Coutries will take place today.
