"Many of them have psychological problems amid cardiovascular diseases: weakness, fatigue, anxiety, sleep disorders. These symptoms disturb patients for a long time. In addition to a cardiologist, a separate office should be opened for this category of patients, which will deal with their rehabilitation," the doctor said.
Akpai Sarybayev noted the National Cardiology Center is now participating in the SARS COV-2 study, which is now tracking data from 700 patients.
"We are tracking them every 3, 6, 9, and 12 months. Preliminary data have already been published with our Russian colleagues, and a major article on these studies will also be published at the end of the year. This is the first such study that takes place in our country," the specialist concluded.
