4th Int’l Festival of World Epics to take place in Kyrgyz capital

Bishkek, Sept. 16, 2021 . / Kabar / . The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, National Manas and Chyngyz Aitmatov Academy and the Art Araba Public Fund will hold on Sept. 22-25 the 4th International Festival of World Epics, Saltanat Amanova, the deputy culture minister of the republic told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency. She added that this event will be held within the plan to implement the Concept of spiritual and moral development and physical education of individual. "Thus, a scientific and practical symposium "Epic Traditions of Peoples of the World: Aspects of Studying Mythological Semantics and Typology" and a round table entitled "Manas Epic in the World Culture: Science, Art, Literature" will be held within the festival. In addition, the newly created Kyrgyz Kochu ethnographic village will be presented and contests such as the "Best Yurt", "Best Semeteichi", and "Sarkech Kochmon" will be held," the deputy minister said. Amanova also pointed out that the festival is divided into 2 components, each carefully designed to strengthen the nation's self-knowledge and to promote and renew the epic heritage globally. The international festival was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic as one of the innovative ways to preserve the world's epic heritage.
