Almost 3.7 mln voters to be able to vote in Kyrgyzstan’s parliamentary elections

Bishkek, Sept. 14, 2021 . / Kabar / . 3,686,921 voters are registered in the preliminary voter list for Nov. 28 Jogorku Kenesh elections of Kyrgyzstan. According to Kyrgyzstan’s Central Elections Commission, 1,766,898 of these are men and 1,920,023 - women, or 47.92% and 52.08%, respectively. Compared to the number of participants in the referendum (popular vote) on the draft law "On the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic" on April 11, 2021, the number increased by 80,720 voters. The preliminary list of voters for the elections of deputies to Jogorku Kenesh, scheduled for Nov. 28, is formed by the Ministry of Digital Development of the republic. The final list of voters will be compiled and posted on the Tizme portal on Nov. 18, 2021. Parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan will be held on Nov. 28, 2021. In accordance with the amendments made to the constitutional Law "On elections of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic", it is envisaged to conduct parliamentary elections by a mixed electoral system. Thus, 54 deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh will elected according to a proportional system and 36 deputies are elected according to the majoritarian system.
