BAKU HOSTS MEETING OF CIS LAW ENFORCEMENT BODIES` OFFICIALS
Baku, May 14 (AzerTAc). The 2nd meeting of the Committee of Heads of CIS Customs Services Council`s Law Enforcement Units has been held here today at the Crescent Beach Hotel.
Aydin Aliyev, Chairman of Azerbaijan State Customs Committee briefed the participants about the outstanding tasks and importance of the event.
He also spoke of the role of the meeting that will outline main priorities of cooperation among law enforcement bodies, ways of combating crimes, terrorism and money laundering in a modern period.
Discussions also dealt with human trafficking, violation of intellectual property right, illicit drug trafficking and other crimes.
The meeting is attended by CIS customs officers from Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as representatives of embassies with observer status.
