Spurs, Villa `keeping tabs on` Schwarzer
Veteran Australian keeper Mark Schwarzer could be lured away from English Premier
League club Fulham to join rivals Tottenham or Aston Villa.
Both Villa and Spurs are believed to have been keeping a close eye on Schwarzer, who
has been in fine form and helped the Cottagers rise up the Premiership table this
season.
"With just a year left on the 36-year-old Aussie's current deal, both Villa boss
Martin O'Neill and Tottenham chief Harry Redknapp are monitoring the situation," The
Sun newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The Socceroos star announced in May 2008 he was joining Fulham on a two-year deal,
ending his 11-year stretch with Premiership rivals Middlesbrough.
He has said he hopes to be included in the Socceroos team if they qualify for the
2010 World Cup.
