Iran operates 75 percent of marine transportation to Libya
Iran’s charge d’affaires to Libya said that Iran Shipping Company operated 75 percent of sea transportation from other destinations to that country.
On the sidelines of Libyan economic delegation meeting with Hamedan province officials, including deputy governor general of the province and members of provincial chamber of commerce here on Tuesday evening, Mohammad Panabad said that Iran is present in the Libyan market.
He pointed out Iran’s trade relations with Libya has developed recently and although it is low concerning level of Linya's trade with Turkey and Italy, which are among its first trade partners, Iran is trying to expand ties between Iranian and Libyan businessmen.
"The cause of low level of economic relations is the fact that the two sides do not have a clear and correct conception of each others and Iran’s embassy in Libya is trying to create a clear picture of the two sides' potentials," Panabad said.
Deputy head of Libyan Chamber of Commerce heading a 4-person trade and economic delegation has been visiting Hamedan province since Sunday.
