Kyrgyzstan receives cargo from Turkmenistan

Bishkek, June 30, 2021. / Kabar /. A cargo from Turkmenistan arrived in Kyrgyzstan, an agreement on the delivery of which was reached during the recent official visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to Turkmenistan, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported. It is worth noting that on June 27, 2021, at the site of the Kyrgyz-Turkmen Economic Forum, agreements were signed between the business circles of the two countries within the framework of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. Thus, contracts were signed for the supply of vegetables, sanitary ware and food for a total amount of more than USD 21 million. Also, within the framework of the reached agreements, a decision was made on cooperation in the development of the production of clothing and footwear, investment activities and import-export operations between entrepreneurs of the two states. In accordance with these agreements, an airplane from the city of Turkmenabat with a cargo has arrived in Bishkek today. Thus, the implementation of the first deliveries based on the results of the signed contracts have begun. The cargo at the airport in Bishkek was met by deputy head of the presidential administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, who stressed that a new page of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan has been opened. “It's time to move from words to action. The cargo has arrived from Turkmenistan, which means that the implementation of the reached agreements has already begun. I hope that in the future our cooperation will only expand,” Adylbek Kasymaliev added.
