Russian Sputnik Light vaccine registered in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, June 29, 2021 . / Kabar /. A Russian single-component coronavirus vaccine Sputnik Light has been registered in Kyrgyzstan, Director of the Republican Immunoprophylaxis Center Gulbara Ishenapysova told Kabar News Agency.
She said that the issue of purchasing the vaccine is not considered.
"So far, vaccination in the country is carried out with a two-component vaccine Sputnik V,” Ishenapysova added.
Kyrgyzstan’s Health Ministry reported that the efficacy of the Sputnik Light made 79.4% based on data analysis of Russians vaccinated with the drug from the 28th day after immunization from Dec. 5, 2020, to April 15, 2021.
Sputnik V vaccine uses two different vectors for the two shots in the vaccination process, which creates more lasting immunity compared to vaccines that use the same delivery mechanism for both shots.
Sputnik V and Sputnik Light do not cause severe allergies.
The +2+8 degree Celsius storage temperature of the two vaccines allows it to be stored in a regular refrigerator without the need to invest in additional cold chain infrastructure.
The vaccines are priced at less than $10 per injection, making them affordable worldwide.
