Kyrgyz delegation takes part in VI meeting of CCTS tourism ministers in Kokand

Tashkent, June 24, 2021. / Kabar /. Representatives of Kyrgyzstan are taking part in the VI meeting of the tourism ministers of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (CCTS) in the city of Kokand, the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Uzbekistan said today.
The Kyrgyz delegation includes Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Seyit Rysaliev, Director of the Tourism Department under the Ministry of Economy and Finance Samat Shatmanov, Assistant Minister of Economy and Finance Sabyrbek Ernis uulu and Chief Specialist of the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Akzholtoev.
The event is also attended by delegations from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
The guests staying in Kokand visited the sights of the Fergana region, got acquainted with the tourism potential. In Margilan, the guests were especially interested in the Handicraft Center. The members of the delegation got acquainted with the samples of products of the national handicraft here.
Located on the Great Silk Road, the city of Margilan is world famous for its handicrafts. The interest in silk products made by artisans is especially great.
The members of the delegation witnessed a stormy creative process in the international pottery center of the Rishtan region. There are also 20 two-storey houses for potters, the Rishtan History Museum, and a banking services center. A workshop and a shop are located on the ground floor of the buildings, and families of potters live on the second floor.
Built on the initiative of the President of the country, this center has become an example of high attention to artisans. Now handicraft products are exported to the UAE, Czech Republic, Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan.
