Photo exhibition dedicated to 30th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence opened in Ankara

Bishkek, June 24, 2021. / Kabar /. The opening ceremony of the photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Kyrgyzstan, organized by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ankara (Turkey), took place in the building of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the purpose of the exhibition is to promote the country, its historical and cultural values and tourism.
The exhibition featured 61 paintings depicting historical sights, landscapes of the country, national sports, reflecting the ancient history, rich culture, picturesque nature and traditional life of Kyrgyzstan.
The event was attended by Deputy Speaker of the Turkish Parliament Sureya Sadi Bilgich, members of the Turkish Parliament, incl. members of the Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Group, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tureky, municipalities of Ankara, public organizations, business structures, as well as the media.
In his speech, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev noted that in 1991 a new page opened in the centuries-old history of the Kyrgyz people and the 30th anniversary of Independence is a historically short period for a sovereign state, drew attention to the fact that the Kyrgyz people and the country have more than 2,300 years of history. In addition, he added that at the moment the Kyrgyz-Turkish relations have a strategic status.
He also informed that this photo exhibition was previously opened in the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Turkey with the participation of the heads of the two states during the official visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to Turkey in June 2021.
In turn, Vice Speaker of the Turkish parliament Sureya Sadi Bilgich stressed that the brotherly Kyrgyz people occupy an exclusive place in the hearts of the Turkish people. He also noted that over 30 years of diplomatic relations, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey have developed cooperation in the field of economy, trade, industry, healthcare, agriculture, culture, youth and sports.
During the event, a video about Kyrgyzstan in Turkish and a slideshow of photo-paintings of the exhibition, accompanied by a komuz, prepared by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, were demonstrated in the exhibition hall.
The photo exhibition will run until June 30, 2021.
