Iraq And Egypt Sign A Cooperation Agreement In The Telecommunications And Information Technology

Baghdad / NINA / - The Ministry of Communications signed, today, Thursday, a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in the Arab Republic of Egypt, to support bilateral cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field of information and communications technology. The agreement signed by the Iraqi side includes Engineer Arkan Shihab Al-Shaibani, Minister of Communications, and for the Egyptian side, Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, in the presence of Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt: included “Using the capabilities available in the field of communications and information technology to support cooperation between Iraq and Egypt, and develop it to contribute to the growth of a number of areas of cooperation, the first of which is digital infrastructure, through the exchange of experiences and knowledge, in order to enhance access to the Internet for individuals and public and private institutions at reasonable prices, by supporting fixed and mobile networks in terms of coverage and the ability to improve broadband efficiency, in a way that positively helps both parties to attract investments, and increase the contribution of the communications and information technology sector in the economy./ End
