Kyrgyzstani farmers to be able to export livestock from July 8

Bishkek, June 16, 2021 . / Kabar / . From July 8, farmers of Kyrgyzstan will be able to export live great and small cattle outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources and Regional Development of the republic Ilich Marsbek uulu told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency. He noted amendments were made to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers "On the introduction of a temporary ban on the export of certain types of agricultural products from the Kyrgyz Republic outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union” in terms of allowing exports of great and small cattle outside the Union. "In turn, the ban on the export of certain types of agricultural products will be in force until the end of 2021," the deputy minister added. Ilich Marsbek uulu noted the ban will help stabilize the situation on the domestic food market of the country, by preventing a critical shortage of agricultural products and increasing their prices. The temporary ban is set for a period of six months from Jan. 8, 2021 on the following agricultural products: - crop products - wheat, barley, corn, rice, fodder; - food and processing industry products - wheat flour, vegetable oil, granulated sugar; - livestock products - chicken eggs.
