Issyk-Kul to host international festival of mixed martial arts

Pearl of Kyrgyzstan-2021 International Festival will take place on July 5-11 on the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake in the village of Chon-Sary-Oi, founder of the Festival, coach of mixed martial arts Bekbolsun Sovbekov told Wednesday during a press conference at Kabar News Agency. The Pearl of Kyrgyzstan International Festival is an annual meeting place for international sports teams and delegations in various sports and representatives of government agencies for the development of sport and tourism. "Last year, all organizations related to youth, sports and tourism experienced challenging times due to COVID-19. This year, due to the normalization of the situation, many countries started to hold sports events. We hope to hold our event at the highest level, as planned," Sovetbekov said. President of the Hand-To-Hand Combat and Oriental Martial Arts Federation, member of organizing committee, world champion on hand-to-hand fighting Ramis Kydyraliyev noted the event is aimed to strengthening friendly relations between foreign teams, development of sports and tourism development in Kyrgyz Republic, etc. The festival will be held in 10 sports - Wushu Sanda, mas wrestling, WMF Thai boxing, UWW grappling, kickboxing, hand-to-hand combat, Taekwon-Do ITF, arm wrestling and MMA. Athletes from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Czech Republic, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc. are invited to participate in the event Pearl of Kyrgyzstan.
