Kyrgyzstan, Tatarstan discuss prospects of cooperation in education sphere

Bishkek, June 11, 2021. / Kabar /. A meeting was held on June 9, at the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan between Deputy Minister Nurlan Omurov and the delegation of Kazan Federal University (KFU), headed by rector Ilshat Gafurov and the Kazan delegation.
According to the press service of the department, at the meeting the sides discussed promising areas of cooperation in the field of education and science. The sides agreed to work together on:
- attracting citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic to study on undergraduate, graduate, residency and postgraduate programs at KFU;
- development and implementation of joint educational programs in the "3 + 1" format with partner universities;
- issues of functioning of the Kayum Nasyri Center in the Kyrgyz Republic;
- the creation of specialized KFU classes in schools of the Kyrgyz Republic in certain areas of training (mathematics, GT, etc.);
- implementation of programs and training courses on the basis of KFU for employees of schools, universities and practicing doctors of the Kyrgyz Republic;
KFU Rector Gafurov made a meaningful presentation about the educational institution, introduced the stages of formation and development of the university, and also outlined the prospects for cooperation between universities of the two countries. The issues of admission and training courses for applicants for budgetary places were touched upon.
In turn, Omurov noted that at a meeting with Minister of Education of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilsur Khadiullin, there was an agreement to create a working group and develop a roadmap for cooperation for a period of five years between countries in the field of education, science and innovation. “At this time, we have sent a working group to Tatarstan, and in the near future we hope to create an interdepartmental roadmap for the implementation of joint tasks, including deep, close mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of education at all levels of education and science,” said the deputy ministry of Kyrgyzstan.
