Kyrgyzstan, Kaspersky Lab in Central Asia discuss fight against cybercrime

Bishkek, June 11, 2021 . / Kabar / . Deputy Chairman of Kyrgyzstan’s State Committee for National Security (SCNS), Director of the Coordination Center for Cybersecurity Zhanybek Zhorobayev discussed with head of Kaspersky Lab in Central Asia Valery Zubanov cooperation issues in countering cybercrime. During the meeting, the most pressing issues and priorities of cooperation in the field of combating cybercrime, increasing the capacity of the Coordination Center for Cybersecurity of Kyrgyzstan’s SCNS were discussed, the press service of the National Security Committee said. The meeting participants noted that cybercrime is mostly cross-border in nature, and therefore interaction at the international level is a prerequisite for successful work in this area. As a result of the meeting, in order to coordinate and improve the effectiveness of measures to combat cybercrime, the signing of a framework document on the interaction of the Coordination Center for Cybersecurity of Kyrgyzstan’s State Committee for National Security with Kaspersky Lab, which will strengthen cooperation on the response to computer incidents, was considered.
