Iran, Oman to expand tourism cooperation
Iran-Oman tourism cooperation will expand based on a memorandum of understanding signed by the two countries, said deputy head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization for tourism affairs.
Mohammad Sharif Malekzadeh told IRNA on the sidelines of a meeting of Iran-Oman Joint Technical Tourism Committee attended by Omani Minister of Tourism Rajiha bint Abd al-Amir bin Ali, that the MoU was extended upon the agreement of the two parties.
It was also agreed that the committee meet every six months to pursue the implementation of the deal, he said.
The two sides focused on exchanging tourists, conducting joint publicity for attracting tourists from other countries and organizing joint tours as effective ways to promote cooperation in the field, he said.
Rajiha, for her part, called for operating of direct air flight between Tehran and Muscat.
