Iran, China discuss expansion of bilateral trade cooperation
Iranian and Chinese officials attending a day-long conference on Iran-China economic cooperation in Tehran on Sunday discussed promotion of trade cooperation between the two states.
The Head of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines said the trade cooperation between Tehran and Beijing should be fair within the framework of both sides' national interests in order to optimize production projects.
Mohammad Nahavandian said Iran and China should attach importance to striking a balance in their trade relations.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Ambassador to China Javad Mansouri attending the conference said Tehran and Beijing are really keen to foster bilateral cooperation and there is no obstacle to this end.
Chinese Ambassador to Iran Xie Xiaoyan, for his part, opined that Iran-China cooperation is at an excellent level and the two sides can snure a bright future for their bilateral relations as two important trade partners.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the conference, Deputy Commerce Minister Mostafa Sarmadi said that trade exchange between Iran and China has registered a 30 percent growth this year compared to last year.
