Kyrgyzstan records 234 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, May 18, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan recorded on Tuesday 234 new cases of COVID-19, raising the total in the country to 100,966, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development of the country Zhalalidin Rakhmatulaev told at a briefing. Among the new cases, 112 were detected in Bishkek, 81 in Chui Oblast, 25 in Issyk-Kul Oblast and the rest are in other regions of the country. Meanwhile, 282 more recovered from the virus, bringing the overall recoveries to 94,148. The headquarters reported 7 new deaths, taking the death toll to 1,718. Currently, 1,605 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in hospitals, including 86 in intensive care units, another 2,465 patients are receiving treatment at home. 5,594 PCR tests were conducted in Kyrgyzstan in the 24 hours period.
