China to allocate to Kyrgyzstan grant of about USD 54 mln

Bishkek, May 12, 2021 . / Kabar / . The People's Republic of China will provide a grant of CNY 350 million (about $54 million) to support the economy of Kyrgyzstan, Member of the State Council and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi said.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that the Chinese city of Xi'an hosted on Tuesday a meeting of Wang Yi and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev, who arrived in China for an official visit.
Minister Wang Yi praised the efforts of Kyrgyzstan for the peaceful resolution of the conflict situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.
The sides noted the key importance of negotiations in further deepening of interregional cooperation, preserving peace and harmony in the region, ensuring security and stability in Central Asia, striving to solve all arising issues.
The Chinese minister expressed readiness to assist the affected population of Kyrgyzstan in the conflict zone while providing additional information on specific needs and requirements.
The Government of China respects the path of development chosen by the people of Kyrgyzstan and is ready to support the reforms of newly elected President Sadyr Zhaparov.
The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that the negotiations resulted in the signing of a cooperation program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and China for 2022-2023.
