Kyrgyzstan reports 225 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, April 20, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday reported 225 new COVID-19 infections, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 92,320, Deputy Minister of Health Jalaidin Rahmatullaev told at a briefing. According to his data, 117 of the new cases are registered in Bishkek, 82 – in Chui Oblast and the rest are in other regions of the country. He also said that 173 more recovered from the virus over the past day, bringing the overall recoveries to 87,229, while the fatalities increased by two to 1,557. In addition, 1,236 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in hospitals, including 49 in intensive care units, while another 1,324 patients are receiving treatment at home. A total of 5,020 lab tests were conducted in the country over the past day.
