Speaker Mamytov meets with Chairwoman of Russia’s Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko

Bishkek, April 15, 2021 . / Kabar / . Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Talant Mamytov met with Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia Valentina Matviyenko. The press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported that the sides debated a wide range of issues, including the inter-parliamentary partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Russia in general, as well as within the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS IPA). In addition, the participants exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations. Talant Mamytov noted the high level of inter-parliamentary cooperation and stressed the will of the Kyrgyz side to maintain and increase the achieved momentum of interaction. Valentina Matviyenko congratulated the speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament on the success of the constitutional referendum held in Kyrgyzstan on April 11, 2021. "A new serious step has been made to change the Constitution of Kyrgyzstan, which is the fundamental law for any state," the speaker of the Federation Council added. In his turn, Talant Mamytov expressed gratitude to the chairwoman of the CIS IPA Council for delegating the Observer Mission to participate in monitoring the preparation and conduct of elections and referendum in the Kyrgyz Republic. The delegation of the Jogorku Kenesh headed by Talant Mamytov has arrived in St. Petersburg to participate in the meeting of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
