Zhaparov visits ‘red zone’ of Republican Infectious Diseases Hospital

Bishkek, April 15, 2021 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov visited on Thursday the "red zone" of the Republican Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases in Bishkek, his press service said. Chief Doctor of the Infectious Diseases Hospital Gulzhigit Aaliev said that currently 354 patients are under treatment, 14 of whom are in extremely serious condition, 144 - in serious condition. He told about the work of the health-care institution, treatment and quality of medical care to patients. Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev informed on current measures to combat the spread of coronavirus infection in the country. He noted that in preparation for a possible third wave of coronavirus infection pandemic , all medical institutions of the country have been provided with sufficient supply of medicines. In the "red zone", President Zhaparov inquired about the health of patients and conditions of their treatment, including seriously ill patients in the intensive care unit. After leaving the “red zone," the Kyrgyz leader talked with medical personnel and inquired about their existing problems. Sadyr Zhaparov stressed that to date the country's leadership is working to improve the working conditions of medical workers, in particular, the salaries of employees of family medicine centers have been increased, and there are plans to increase salaries for other categories of doctors. Medical workers stressed that they would try to justify the trust of citizens and the country's leadership, expressing gratitude to the president for support.
