AZERI DEPUTY MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND ENERGY MEETS CHAIRMAN OF GREECE-AZERBAIJAN INTER-PARLIAMENTARY WORKING GROUP

Baku, 7 May (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy Gulmammad Javadov met Wednesday with chairman of Greece-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary working group Konstantinos Tsiaras and his accompanying delegation.
Javadov said cooperation between Azerbaijan and Greece were expanding in various fields including economic and energy ones. He noted the Greek delegation`s current visit would contribute to strengthening bilateral relationship even more.
Javadov pointed out there were good prospects for realization of international projects, especially transportation of Azerbaijan`s energy resources to Europe via Greece.
He underlined that realization of energy projects, initiator and organizer of which is Azerbaijan, contributes to strengthening the country`s economic and political position even more.
Javadov said energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union was developing, as well.
Konstantinos Tsiaras, in turn, said his country supports Azerbaijan-EU cooperation.
He expressed confidence that relations between Azerbaijan and Greece would continue to develop.
According to him, the delegation`s current visit is evidence to the fact that Greece places emphasis on cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Chairman of Azerbaijan-Greece inter-parliamentary working group Hadi Rajabli and Greek ambassador to Baku Ioannis Metaksas were present in the meeting.
