Co-op issues between Kyrgyzstan, Russia on humanitarian and social projects discussed

Bishkek, March 18, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador to Russia Gulnara-Klara Samat met with Head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States’ Affairs (Rossotrudnichestvo) Yevgeny Primakov.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that having discussed cooperation issues between the two states on humanitarian and social projects, the ambassador put forward an initiative to create in Kyrgyzstan an intellectual discussion platform with the participation of youth and expert circles for the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
In turn, the Russian side expressed interest in the Embassy’s proposal to organize a mobile library in Kyrgyzstan to familiarize young Kyrgyzstanis with the works of great Kyrgyz and Russian writers.
"Rossotrudnichestvo is ready to consider the issue of providing a book fund and equipping a mobile library. The issue of operating a mobile cinema for screening an educational films in remote settlements of Kyrgyzstan will be studied," the report says.
The Agency will also study the possibility of training Kyrgyz people in IT skills at vocational schools in the regions of Kyrgyzstan.
Ambassador Samat also spoke about the active work of Kyrgyzstani medical volunteers during the peak of the COVID-19 epidemic in the republic in 2020, and proposed to establish cooperation between the medical volunteers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation.
In addition, the Kyrgyz side expressed interest in organizing an exchange of experience in solving environmental problems in mega-cities.
