Zhaparov receives ambassador of Saudi Arabia due to completion of his diplomatic mission in Kyrgyzstan

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Kyrgyz Republic Abdurahman bin Said Al-Juma on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission. The press service of the president said that an exchange of views took place on topical aspects of interstate cooperation, including in trade, economic and transport spheres. The head of state expressed satisfaction with the stable level of interaction in the field of political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries, expressing hope for their further strengthening. Sadyr Zhaparov noted the personal contribution of Abdurahman bin Said Al-Juma as the first ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Kyrgyzstan in achieving the current level of bilateral cooperation: strong political relations have been established between the countries, active work is underway to build up cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The head of state said that one of the priority areas of Kyrgyz-Saudi cooperation is the development of trade and economic relations. He emphasized the existing real potential in this area, at the same time noting the small volume of trade due to the lack of direct flights between the two countries. In this regard, Sadyr Zhaparov proposed opening a direct air route between the two countries to develop trade relations with Saudi Arabia. The president also called on the Saudi side to become a partner in the implementation of major investment projects. For his significant contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries, President Sadyr Zhaparov awarded Abdurahman bin Said Al-Juma the country's state award - the Order of Danaker. The ambassador conveyed to the head of state the words of greetings from the King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. He expressed gratitude to Sadyr Zhaparov for the high assessment of his diplomatic activities in Kyrgyzstan, stressing that he was proud of his contribution to strengthening relations between the countries. Abdurahman bin Said Al-Juma added that Saudi Arabia supports the issue of opening direct flights between the countries, and also informed about the transfer in the near future of medical equipment in the form of assistance to the Kyrgyz government worth about USD500 thousand. The ambassador noted with satisfaction the dynamics of the development of bilateral cooperation and declared the readiness of the Saudi side to take them to a new level. Following the meeting, the sides agreed to hold a business forum and business fair in Saudi Arabia in the near future with the participation of representatives of the business communities of the two states.
