President Zhaparov receives Russian Education Minister Kravtsov

Bishkek, March 15, 2021 . / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received on Monday Minister of Education of Russia Sergey Kravtsov, his press service said. An exchange of views on priorities and prospects of the Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation in the field of education took place. The Kyrgyz president noted with satisfaction that the Education Ministries of the two countries have reached agreements on school construction, provision with volunteer teachers, teacher training in Russian universities, professional development of teachers and exchange of experience in teaching individual subjects. Sadyr Zhaparov expressed support for the Russian side's assistance in building a network of schools in each region, in the cities of Bishkek and Osh. The Kyrgyz leader emphasized a development of Priority Actions Plan for the construction, creation and functioning in Kyrgyzstan of joint general education schools with Russian-language teaching. Minister Kravtsov said that a joint protocol on cooperation was signed today with Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Beishenaliyev that will strengthen the permanent contact at the ministerial level. He expressed readiness to expand the program of attracting Russian teachers to schools in Kyrgyzstan to strengthen the exchange of experience in this direction. To date, 29 Russian teachers are working in schools of Osh city. The Russian minister expressed interest in Kyrgyzstan's experience in organizing the work of teachers in rural areas. In addition, he handed over to President Sadyr Zhaparov a certificate - a trip for 150 children of the republic to Artek International Children Center. The head of state expressed hope that close cooperation between the two ministries in the field of education will continue, and conveyed words of gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for supporting the national education system of the country.
