Kyrgyz President Zhaparov receives FM of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu

Bishkek, March 10, 2021 . / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received on Wednesday Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu who has arrived in the republic for an official visit. The press service of the Kyrgyz president reported that an exchange of views on current areas of cooperation in the political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres took place. The Kyrgyz leader noted with satisfaction the high level of Kyrgyz-Turkish diplomatic relations, which this year celebrate their thirtieth anniversary. Sadyr Zhaparov stressed that in recent months a number of important issues have been resolved between the countries, and expressed gratitude to the Turkish side for the assistance provided to Kyrgyzstan in the fight against the coronavirus infection pandemic. The president of Kyrgyzstan emphasized the need to implement significant projects that meet the economic potential of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, adding that the parties should make every effort to bring the joint trade turnover to $ 1 billion. In addition, he noted with satisfaction the high level of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, and expressed the willingness of the Kyrgyz side to share its experience and provide assistance in organizing the 4th World Nomad Games. In turn, Mevlut Cavusoglu conveyed the words of greetings and best wishes from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He noted the constructive dialogue at the level of foreign ministers of the two countries and expressed the interest of the Turkish side to build close ties with Kyrgyzstan, promoting issues in all areas of joint cooperation. The Turkish foreign minister also stressed the Turkish side pays special attention to the development of trade and economic cooperation. Following the meeting, the sides expressed their readiness to further develop bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
