Diplomats of Kyrgyzstan in Moscow began to be inoculated with Sputnik V vaccine

Bishkek, Feb. 22, 2021 / Kabar /. Foreign diplomats in Moscow have begun to be inoculated with the Russian Sputnik V vaccine. In particular, the employees of the Kyrgyz embassy have been actively vaccinated, TASS reported citing Charge d'Affaires of Kyrgyzstan in Russia Aydit Erkin as saying. “As soon as we received a note from the Russian Foreign Ministry, they immediately began to draw up lists. And we are grateful to the Russian side for the fact that we were provided this opportunity free of charge,” he stressed. All diplomats who expressed desire were vaccinated against COVID-19. “Comments of Sputnik V are good, and other countries are buying it. I think this is the right decision, that the embassies were also offered to be vaccinated,” the Kyrgyz diplomat concluded. On Feb. 19, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent out a note to all foreign embassies located in Moscow with a proposal to vaccinate employees against coronavirus with Sputnik V. There are 12 thousand diplomatic workers. The embassies of the CIS countries, Asia, Africa and Latin America became interested in the initiative, some employees were even given a day off to go to the clinic. Vaccinations for foreign diplomats will be free. Sputnik V is the first registered Russian vaccine against coronavirus.
