Asian sports ministers meeting kicks off

The second Asian Sports Ministers Meeting started work in Tehran’s Esteqlal Hotel on Tuesday.
Iran’s Head of Physical Education Organization Mohammad Aliabadi and Secretary-General of Iran's National Olympic Committee Bahram Afsharzadeh are to deliver speeches at the meeting.
Some 28 Asian countries and a number of delegations from different Asian sports bodies are taking part in the event.
The three-day meeting is to discuss sports cooperation between the Asian states, exchange of sports experiences and hold special sessions on issues related to sports.
The Asian Sports Ministers Meeting is also scheduled to explore ways to face dopings and improve sporting facilities in local areas.
The Asian sports ministers are scheduled to meet with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The first Asian Sports Ministers Meeting was held in Osaka, Japan, on August 27 in 2007.
