Behbahani confers with Iraqi counterpart
Visiting Iranian Minister of Roads and Transportation Hamid Behbahani conferred here Monday with his Iraqi counterpart Amir Abd al-Jabar Ismail.
At the meeting, Behbani called for expansion of Tehran-Baghdad ties in the transportation sector and hold regional conferences in this field.
He added that Iraq is making steady progress in all fields compared to the level for the same period last year.
The Iraqi minister, for his part, said that development of transportation sector plays a vital role in the economic progress of his country.
Voicing satisfaction over mutual ties, he said that both sides are cooperating as a team in the transportation sector.
Iranian minister arrived in Baghdad on Monday at the head of a delegation on the invitation of his Iraqi counterpart to take part in a joint meeting on transportation cooperation between Iran and Iraq.
