Musseik Cell members sentenced to three year imprisonment
SANA'A, May 04 (Saba)- Sana'a Primary Specialized Court issued
Monday two years and half to three years imprisonment sentences to
four persons who are convicted of forming armed gang called Musseik
Cell to carry out criminal acts and targeting tourists.
The sentence issued in the court's Monday hearing headed by Judge
Redhwan al-Namer convicted Sa'ad al-Faqih, Mua'th al-Zuraid, Nabil
al-Sureihi and sentenced them to three years imprisonment while the
court sentenced the fourth accused Ali Ghurab two years and half
imprisonment.
According to the court's verdict, the imprisonment terms start since
the day of their arrest.
The verdict stipulated also on putting the four convicted under
police surveillance to two years period after ending imprisonment
terms. They verdict banning them changing their residence and travel
only after permission besides seizing substances concerning the
issue and paying YR 80,000 as advocating charges from Justice
Ministry's budget.
Earlier, the prosecution accused the cell of forming armed gang to
carry out criminal acts and plotting to targeting tourists in Sana'a
Old City's hotels and Dar al-Hajar by suicide bumping as well as
planning to targeting security and foreign institutions and
exploding the International Committee for the Red Cross locating
along the Yemeni-Saudi borders.
