Kyrgyz FM Kazakbaev receives CICA Executive Director Kairat Sarybay

Bishkek, Jan. 28, 2021. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev received on Thursday Executive Director of the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay. According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, Kazakbaev expressed gratitude to Kairat Sarybay for participation in the solemn event on the occasion of the inauguration of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov. During the meeting, the sides discussed the ongoing activities of the Secretariat and specific areas of practical cooperation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the framework of the Meeting on the eve of the 30th anniversary of CICA in the next 2022. The Kyrgyz side noted the importance of further strengthening of comprehensive cooperation in the Asian region to find new ways for sustainable socio-economic development in the light of the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the interest in strengthening the role of CICA in the international arena. The Kyrgyz foreign minister expressed the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to continue to actively participate in the activities of CICA to combat new challenges and threats facing the countries of the region.
