Kyrgyzstan’s total COVID-19 cases reach 84,068

Bishkek, Jan. 26, 2021 / Kabar /. The total number of confirmed cases in Kyrgyzstan rose to 84,068 after 97 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Tuesday. Among the new cases, 42 were confirmed in the capital city of Bishkek, 40 in Chui Oblast, 6 in Issyk-Kul Oblast, 2 in Jalal-Abad Oblast, 1 in Batken Oblast, 2 in Talas Oblast and 2 in Osh city, according to data of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19. 157 more recoveries were registered over the past day, taking the count to 80,182. The death toll rose to 1,402 with one new fatality during the last 24 hours. 643 people are in hospitals with 27 intensive care units. In addition, another 907 patients are receiving treatment at home. The health authorities conducted 1,432 tests within a day.
