Iran road minister arrives in Baghdad

Iran’s Minister of Road and Transportation arrived in the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad on Monday to take part in the joint meeting on transportation cooperation between Iran and Iraq.

On arrival, Hamid Behbahani was welcomed by his Iraqi counterpart Amir Abd al-Jabar Ismail.

Behbahani is visiting Iraq through the invitation of al-Jabar Ismail to confer with him on ways to boost bilateral cooperation on issues related to sea, air, road and railway transportation.

The two will discuss finalization of the mutual agreements and implementation of the joint ventures as well.

The Iranian and Iraqi ministers are also to hold talks on promoting the facilitation of Iranians' pilgrimage to the holy sites in the Iraqi cities.
