Kyrgyz Interior Ministry, OSCE debate joint projects

Bishkek, Jan. 22, 2021. /Kabar/. Acting Interior Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Niyazbekov met with Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek Pierre von Arx.
According to the press service of the Interior Ministry, during the meeting Niyazbekov noted the effectiveness of fruitful cooperation between the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek and the ministry.
The acting minister thanked the OSCE Programme Office for providing logistical assistance in the form of vehicles and personal protective equipment during the pandemic of COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
"Transparency, accessibility and efficiency in interaction with the population showed great efficiency of the Mobile Police Receptions (MPRs) project, which we implement together. During the work, MPRs have shown themselves and proved to be positive, promptly resolving urgent issues of the population. The ministry decided to allocate additional 9 mobile receptions. However, as analysis has shown, there is a need to increase their number throughout the country," Niyazbekov noted.
The sides noted the effectiveness of all joint projects aimed at improving the internal affairs agencies, as well as strengthening active cooperation and interaction, and came to a mutual agreement on long-term cooperation to achieve tangible results.
In turn, Ambassador, Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek Pierre von Arx stressed readiness to continue supporting the Internal Affairs Ministry by providing it with the necessary assistance.
