The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho translated into Kyrgyz language

Bishkek, Jan. 20, 2020. /Kabar/. Journalist-translator Bolotbek Zhumabayev has translated into Kyrgyz a modern world bestseller - The Alchemist novel by famous writer Paulo Coelho, the author himself said at a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
According to him, the novel in the Kyrgyz language was published on the basis of a cooperation agreement with the agents of the Brazilian writer.
"I decided to translate this book because it is one of the purest books of the Brazilian master, and also remains a favorite book of millions of people, listed in the Guinness World Records. This iconic parable novel may help change the lives of Kyrgyz readers," the author said.
In addition, Zhumabayev noted that a total of 2,000 copies of the novel were published in the Kyrgyz.
"The book will officially hit bookstore shelves today," the translator informed, adding that it took one year to translate the novel.
Bolotbek Zhumabayev is a journalist and author of translations of several works by Soviet writers.
Paulo Coelho is a talented Brazilian novelist and poet. He published a total of more than 20 books. Coelho's name can even be found in the pages of the Guinness World Records, where he was noted as the author of the world's most translated lifetime work – The Alchemist.
