Construction of Azerbaijani-funded school and park in Kyrgyzstan discussed

Bishkek, Jan. 15, 2021. /Kabar/. Acting Mayor of Bishkek Balbak Tulobayev met on Friday with Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan Hidayat Khudush ogly Orujov, the press service of the capital’s Mayor’s Office said.
The sides debated construction issues, an accomplishment of new park of friendship in the southern part of the capital, and also erection of general 550-seat educational school in Kok-Zhar housing estate.
The acting mayor noted that development and strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries is important for Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan as a whole.
"We are grateful for the support to improve the infrastructure of the capital," Tulobayev said.
At the same time, it is reported that another new public space is also being built in the southern part of the city, opposite Asanov Park - a gift from the Republic of Azerbaijan for the citizens and guests of the capital.
"The park of 5.5 hectares will have fountains and decorative pools, an outdoor amphitheater and pavilions, and playgrounds for children," the report says.
Both projects will be implemented at the expense of Azerbaijan.
In conclusion, Acting Mayor Tulobayev expressed confidence in further close cooperation between the Mayor's Office of Bishkek and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Kyrgyz Republic.
In 2019, the capital's municipality and the Azerbaijani Embassy of Azerbaijan in Kyrgyzstan signed a memorandum of cooperation in the construction of a school for 550 pupils and a new park.
