Bright prospects for Iran trade ties with Central Asian states
Iran’s Commercial Attaché in Kazakhstan said Saturday that the global recession would be a chance for Iran to promote trade relations with the Central Asian countries including Kazakhstan.
Hossein Bamiri told IRNA on the sidelines of the International Conference on Development and Investment in the midwestern province of Hamedan.
Bamiri said economic downturn in the world is a chance for the Islamic Republic of Iran to broaden its economic cooperation.
He said that Iran is keen to cooperate with Kazakhstan in field of agriculture.
He predicted that Tehran and Astana would exchange ten billion tons of commodities by the year 2011.
Bamiri added that such a boost in trade would happen as the railway will be constructed between the three countries of Iran, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
