Iran, Senegal discuss expansion of mutual, regional cooperation
Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics Brigadier General Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar paid a brief visit to Senegal to hold talks with the country's high ranking officials on expansion of ties and cooperation between the two countries.
According to the Information and Public Relations Bureau of the Defense Ministry, Najjar made the trip on his way back home from a visit to Venezuela.
In Dakar, Najjar conferred with the Senegalese president, prime minister and his Senegalese counterpart on issues of mutual interests.
At the meetings, the two sides reviewed expansion of mutual, regional and international cooperation.
Given the common views of officials of the two countries on international issues, Najjar called for expansion and deepening of defense cooperation between Iran and Senegal.
