Election campaign kicks off in Kyrgyzstan. 18 candidates run for president

Bishkek, Dec. 14, 2020 / Kabar /. Election campaigning has begun in Kyrgyzstan on Dec. 15. Early presidential elections will be held on Jan.10. The election campaign will last 26 days. This is due to the fact that presidential elections are held ahead of schedule. Early elections in Kyrgyzstan will be held due to the fact that the previous President Sooronbai Jeenbekov resigned amid protests against the results of the parliamentary elections, which took place on Oct. 4. In total, 18 people are running for the post of head of state. List of candidates: Adakhan Madumarov, Arstanbek Abdyldaev, Kanatbek Isaev, Rashid Tagaev, Zhenishbek Baiguttiev, Klara Sooronkulova, Aimen Kasenov, Myktybek Arstanbek, Baktybek Kalmamatov, Imamidin Tashov, Kursan Asanov, Kanybek Imanaliev, Ravshan Dzhenbekov, Eldar Abakirov, Ulukbek Kochkorov, Babyrzhan Tolbaev, Abdil Segizbaev, Sadyr Zhaparov.
