Kyrgyz artist creates portraits of Turkish president and his wife from threads

Bishkek, Dec. 14 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz artist Almaz Kozhogulov created portraits of Turkish President Recep Tayyp Erdogan and his wife from threads.
Assol Moldokmatova, Academician of the Eurasian Academy, shared her impressions of the masterpieces of the artist, who creates unique portraits from threads.
She called it incredible embroidery technique and delicate work.
“It takes 2.5 months to create one portrait, which means almost six months of life. The artist has no four fingers on his right hand after an accident in 1980, he painted a portrait, sharpened the frame on the machine, did not have time to react and the fingers remained on the floor. It was not possible to sew them, it was too late, but life dictated its own rules - to get used to it and live on.
It is amazing how subtly and skillfully he writes and later embroiders with threads and how such masterpieces are created with limited physical capabilities,” Moldokmatova said.
She added that an artist is always with his beautiful wife, who motivates and tunes for the best, because every artist needs motivation and inspiration.
“The portraits were solemnly presented yesterday to the public figure of Turkey, director Omer Erdogan,” Moldokmatova said thanking the artist for the unique portraits.
She also expressed confidence that the President of Turkey will highly appreciate the talent of the master.
Almaz Kozhogulov graduated from Chuikov Art School and worked at the Naryn House of Culture, and two years ago he moved to Bishkek. Now he creates unique portraits from threads.
