Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan debate border co-op issues at meeting of border regions of countries

Bishkek, Dec. 8, 2020. /Kabar/. Acting Prime Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Artem Novikov took part in a Third Meeting of the Council of Kyrgyzstan’s governors and Uzbekistan’s heads of border regions. According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Government, the meeting took place in Fergana city of Uzbekistan. At the meeting, Kyrgyzstan was represented by Ambassador to Uzbekistan Ibrahim Junusov, Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation Tilek Toktogaziyev, Minister of Transport and Communications Bakyt Berdaliyev, Governors of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast Absattar Syrgabayev, Batken Oblast Zhanybek Jalalov, Osh Oblast Absattar Syrgabayev, as well as Deputy Foreign Minister Nuran Niyazaliyev and Deputy Economy Minister Sultan Akhmatov. Topical bilateral cooperation, border problems and further activation of the whole complex of bilateral relations were discussed during the meeting.
