Kyrgyz culture minister takes part in meeting of Council for Cultural Cooperation of CIS member states

Bishkek, Nov. 19, 2020 / Kabar /. Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov took part in an online meeting of the Council for Cultural Cooperation of the CIS Member States. The Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the meeting was also attended by members of the Council from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Moldova, Russia and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the International Delphic Committee and the CIS Executive Committee. The Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov made a welcoming speech and noted that the Council for Cultural Cooperation of the CIS Member States has become a unique platform for discussing common problems and strengthening international cooperation. He also expressed gratitude for organizing the meeting and raising topical issues, since the culture sphere today is the most vulnerable area of ​​activity of countries. Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov spoke in detail about the executed activities included in the main cultural activities for 2016-2020 in the CIS member states. These are: the World Epics Festival, the International Festival of Craftsmen "Oimo", the International Theater Festival "ART-ORDO", the Summer Camp of Young Artists of the CIS Member States and other events. The meeting discussed the most important issues on strengthening the cultural cooperation of the CIS countries. The Council was created in accordance with the Agreement on the Establishment of the Council for Cultural Cooperation of the CIS Member States of May 26, 1995, signed by the heads of government of all 12 CIS member states in order to promote the development of cultural cooperation between the states.
