Germany remains committed to supporting Kyrgyzstan in its COVID-19 combating

Bishkek, Nov. 17, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador to Germany Erlan Abdyldayev met with State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development Norbert Barthle, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported Tuesday. According to the report, the meeting took place in Berlin via videoconference due to COVID-19 pandemic. Ambassador Abdyldayev informed about the stabilization of domestic political situation, democratic processes and socio-economic situation in the republic, as well as expressed gratitude to the German side for the support provided to Kyrgyzstan in combating COVID-19. The sides noted the projects being implemented within the bilateral financial and technical cooperation in two priority spheres: "Sustainable Economic Development" and "Healthcare" are fruitful and make a tangible contribution to development of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the meeting, Erlan Abdyldayev and Norbert Barthle discussed the state and prospects of Kyrgyz-German cooperation for development, issues related to the implementation of debt conversion, holding regular intergovernmental consultations, as well as providing further support to the Kyrgyz Republic, including in the fight against coronavirus.
