Ukraine plans to open its CCI representation in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Nov. 17, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev received Ukrainian Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Valeriy Zhovtenko.
During the meeting, Kazakbayev informed the interlocutor about the current domestic political situation in the republic and the upcoming important events, and noted that the current situation in the country is stable, the ongoing political processes have returned to the legal field, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry’s press service reported.
Also, opinions were exchanged on topical issues of bilateral cooperation, on exchange of experience in conducting political and socio-economic reforms.
The sides agreed on the necessity of resuming the political dialogue, in particular, they discussed holding regular political inter-ministerial consultations, as well as the schedule of joint meetings and visits.
Special emphasis was placed by the Kyrgyz side on the intensification of trade and economic cooperation, implementation of practical measures in this direction, initiation of specific projects in areas of mutual interest, such as energy, mining industry.
Ukrainian Ambassador Zhovtenko informed about plans to open a representative office of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kyrgyzstan.
The parties also touched upon the cooperation issues and mutual support at multilateral sites
